WWDC 2021 Wish List

Unlike last year’s WWDC where the development was interrupted by the pandemic, this year’s development was done entirely during the pandemic, so it should be interesting to see whether or not things are going to be scaled down. Well, the production of the conference will not be scaled down as Apple has demonstrated that they will spare no expense for their virtual events over the past year. tvOS Since the new Apple TV remote does not have the hardware for gaming, I’m not sure if there is going to be an Apple Arcade push for the TV this year....

Thoughts on WWDC 2020

The developer community was interested to see how a remote WWDC would go and I think the general consensus is that this is how the conference should go from now on. Putting all of that together, there was a lot to unpack and even more to learn with the announcement of SwiftUI, Catalyst, Combine, and a slew of other new frameworks (most being Swift only). tvOS tvOS isn’t useless anymore with the announcement that tvOS 13 will add support for Xbox One and PS4 game controllers....

WWDC 2019 Wish List

This year is supposed to be one of the biggest years for Apple due to large architectural projects coming to fruition with the Marzipan SDK releasing to developers (and maybe a hint of ARM based Macs). Additionally, it is looking very likely that iTunes is going away in favor of separate applications....
